changing of the sqas guard

After a period of 13 years Cefic’s SQAS Manager Victor Trapani is retiring at the beginning of August 2023. From the beginning Victor has proven himself to be a friendly and diplomatic focal point between the interests of chemical producers, and those of chemical logistics companies and related associations. Especially during the past five years, Victor’s contribution to the SQAS chapters on logistics emissions and OCS has been invaluable and much appreciated. The ECTA Board of Directors and the ECTA team are grateful for the professional and pleasant cooperation over the years.

Recently Cefic announced that Mr. Williams Messina will take over the position of SQAS Manager in August. Williams is experienced in HSSE and sustainability matters and we wish him every success with the challenge of replacing Victor. ECTA will continue to fully endorse and support the SQAS program.
